Apply for special consideration if you have been affected by circumstances beyond your control — such as illness, injury, bereavement, or other hardship — that have impacted your ability to complete or attend an assessment. Applications must be supported by documentation and are typically submitted within 3 business days of the assessment due date.

Before You Submit

  • Applications should be submitted within 3 business days of the assessment due date.
  • Enter the 6 digits after SAHE for your roll number. Your SAHE student email is generated automatically.
  • Your application will first be reviewed by your Lecturer / Unit Coordinator.
  • All submissions are recorded and you will receive a reference number.

Incomplete applications without supporting documents may be delayed or rejected.

  1. Accuracy of Information: All information provided must be true, complete, and accurate. Providing false or misleading information may result in disciplinary action, including academic penalties.
  2. Supporting Evidence: Where supporting documents are required, failure to provide adequate evidence may result in your application being denied.
  3. Privacy & Data Use:Your personal information will be collected. used and stored in accordance with SAHE's Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles. Information will only be shared with relevant academic and administrative staff for the purpose of processing your application.
  4. Processing Time: Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. SAHE aims to process applications within 10 business days but cannot guarantee specific timelines.
  5. Decision Finality: The outcome of your application is determined by the relevant academic committee. You may lodge an appeal if you believe the decision was procedurally unfair.
  6. Document Retention:Submitted documents are retained in accordance with SAHE's records management policy and may be stored in secure cloud systems (SharePoint, AWS S3).
